I photographed the preparations to welcome participants, the demonstration, and the time spent arranging flowers.

Choosing flowers and arranging the space between, one stem at a time.

Through people’s gestures, the expressions of flowers and plants, and the soft light entering the temple, the photographs capture a passage of time that the finished arrangements alone cannot convey.
